Email not sent when event submitted for approval

    I’m not getting any notification for when someone submits an event for approval. I have two different emails entered in the Community…Settings…area but neither of them get an email and nothing goes to spam.

    Hello Lara,

    I’m sorry you are having this issue, let me try to help you with this.

    Do you receive other emails, for example when you add a new user to your site or when you receive a comment on your site? If you are not getting these emails either, then there could be a more generic problem.

    Meanwhile I’m also checking this, please try to test the above and let me know.

    Yes, in fact I just created a user today and got an email about it. So those emails come through fine. Thanks for your help.

    Hi Lara,

    So far I haven’t been able to reproduce the issue on my test site. With the theme twentyfourteen and only the 3 Modern Tribe plugins (TEC, EC Pro and Community Events).

    Could you run a similar test, using a default theme like twentyfourteen or twentysixteen and deactivating all plugins, except for the 3 needed? Also please deactivate / switch off any custom code you might have in your functions.php file. This can help up eliminate any plugin / theme / custom code conflicts, which might be at play here.

    Let me know the results and we’ll take it from there.

    Please also make sure that in the settings where you set up the email addresses that should be notified, that:

    • there is only one email address per line
    • there is no dividing characters (comma etc.) between the email addresses.
