Howdy! I’m building an event-driven site that charges for tickets to events. I’m trying to figure out if Events Calendar + Event Tickets would work for me, or if there are other plugins that may be able to work alongside these in order to accomplish what I need to do. I’m currently using an Events CPT and Gravity Forms, but I’m considering moving to Events Calendar + Event Tickets if I can achieve all the functionality I need.

    1. The designs for this site include a pop-up calendar widget. When you click the widget icon, I need a calendar to pop up and allow the user to click on a date for this month. Once a date is clicked, the events scheduled for that date would show underneath the calendar. This is pretty much exactly what the sidebar widget from Events Calendar PRO does, but it’s in more of a modal form. Is this possible?
    2. I need to be able to trigger automated emails — sending receipts upon purchase, sending reminders to attendees a couple of days before the event, sending a post-event email the day after the event so they can take our survey, etc. Is this possible with Event Tickets and/or any combination of other plugins?

    Thanks!

    Hi J.C.

At this time, we don’t offer a pop-up modal. If you think that is something you would like as a feature I encourage you to visit our User Voice Page and either upvote an existing request or make a new request there.

You can suggest it it http://tribe.uservoice.com.

You could use a shortcode in Events Calendar Pro inside another pop-up plugin to possibly achieve this. See: Calendar View Shortcodes and Widget Shortcodes.

We do send email receipts for Event Tickets Plus purchases. However, they are not funneled in to an automated ongoing system. You might be able to achieve that with IFTTT/Zapier possibly, though I have not tried it. You can export your attendees list and import them into a tool like Mailchimp if you’d like.

Is there anything else I can help you with?

    Thanks
    Courtney 🙂

Hey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.

    Thanks so much!
