    Howdy Ken,

I would love to help you with this. That’s an interesting goal, I have not seen anyone want to modify the ticket #s before.

The only way to do this would be manually editing the database. If you are comfortable with such things the ticket # is stored in the database, so you could manually change it without much in the way of side effects. Of course the email your customer received when the ticket was first sent out would still contain the wrong number.

If you would like to suggest a feature, such as the ability to edit ticket #s from WP Admin, let me know and I could work with you to write up a feature suggestion for this idea. To be honest I do not see a lot of people wanting this capability, especially because the ticket # that the customer already has will be incorrect now and it would be difficult to cross reference when you check them in.

Does that all make sense? Will that work for you? Please let me know.

    Cheers!

    Hello Brook!

Thank you. It might seem interesting because of a peculiar problem that I am facing with event ticket plus (going on in another thread but doesn’t seem solvable before our event). The tickets seem to double when booked. Users are getting 8 if they book 4. So my goal was to block the ticket e-mail at the time of booking, edit and send them a week before event via woo-commerce order option so that we don’t have a problem mapping their ticket and table number. 🙂
It will be helpful if it’s done in my peculiar case haha.

That is some odd circumstance, but I can see where you are coming from.

Well if you feel comfortable editing the database then you can pull up any postmeta key called ‘_unique_id’ :

    SELECT *  FROM wp_postmeta WHERE meta_key='_unique_id'

And then edit away! That would be the only solution here.

    Would that work?

    Cheers!

Hey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.

    Thanks so much!
