Editing Community Events after posting when set to go to Draft

Hello,
I looked for a clear answer for this and was unable to find it. If a user posts an event, and I have the setting for it to go to Draft, does the user have to wait until I Publish the event to be able to edit it? And, once it is Published, can the user edit the event on the front-end?

Hello Mike,

Good question! The user can indeed edit an event that is currently held in Draft status. In other words, the user will be able to edit their event even before it has been published to the front end.

Sort of. We don’t allow the user to see the wordpress admin at all. So is there an edit button on the front end of the site they can click and edit the event, like the page where they posted the event?

Of not, is there a way to add an edit button?

Yes, there is indeed an Edit button on the front end and that directs the user to edit the event on the front end. Nothing takes place directly in the back end. 🙂

Sure thing! The Edit link is in the list of that users saved events/drafts. Here’s a screenshot where it’s pointed out. 🙂

that page looks great. i have never seen page before. what am I missing?:) How do you get to that page? I feel like a beginner again.

There is a link called “My Events” at the top of the submission form that appears if someone is logged in and has saved events (screenshot).
