Edit the single event's sidebar

Hi,
I’d like to customize the sidebar on the single-event page.
I want to add a custom field on the head of the sidebar (under Info) and not at it’s end (under Other).

Which file do I need to edit in order to customize the sidebar?

Hey Daniel–welcome back to the forums!

Interesting, the event template does not have a sidebar right out of the box. I wonder if you have a custom template and could modify it from there. If you open your theme directory, do you see a folder in there called tribe-events? If so, you might see a template in there called single-event.php and that would be the template to check. Let me know if you see that folder and/or that file in it.

I’m using Avada and I do have this file in the theme folder but I couldn’t find the sidebar section in the file…Was wondering if there’s another file for the sidebar.

Hey Daniel, thanks for following up!

Honestly, it’s tough for me to tell since it’s a customized template and The Events Calendar doesn’t include a sidebar by default. If you look at the code a little deeper, there may some references to a sidebar, along with a path where the file for it is located.

You could share your template code with me in a Gist and I’d be happy to check. At the same time, the Avada team might be better suited to provide an answer since they wrote the code for the template.
