ParticipantHi Guys – I can see a lot of posts about this subject .. hoping you can point me in the right direction
Our client would like to be able to manage attendee lists and add names to them – usually after the event has been completed. I can see that we can add custom field names etc but, the client doesn’t want to force his purchasers to complete all the details – he would prefer to do it himself, after event checkin.
The second requirement is to be able to historically view and manage and report on (export) previous Course attendees.
I’m sure this data is there, I’m hoping you can tell me how I can get it out..
Many thanks

MemberHi there folks,
Thanks for reaching out! I’ll help you with this…
At the time the attendees data is managed per event, take a look at this article on Managing your orders and attendees. I guess the best way to manage all this info is to export the data once the event is done and import it to another system (or just manage it on a spreadsheet soft) and there add the additional fields.
@Colin, sorry for the delay on my reply! Please let me know if this answers your question,
Best,

ParticipantThanks for the response – by way of feedback .. The solution you propose seems to be to export the individual attendee lists and then consolidate, add new feids and generally manage that data externally e.g. in a spreadsheet?. it seems a shame, as most of the date is “in the application” .. if we follow this route we will be developing an entire new dataset and application and way to manage it?
Unless you can tell me there’s an easy way to upload the spreadsheet back to the site .. and allow Management and client/user access there?
but thanks for the response

MemberHey Colin,
Thanks for following up with this

Sorry if I misinterpreted your request, I thought you were looking to export the data.
So, if you are not then the attendee information can be changed from the order in the e-commerce platform. For example if you are using WooCommerce you can go to the order (linked in the attendees report) and once in there change the values. I’m not sure how you can add extra values to the Woo order.
We are developing a feature called Attendees Meta, that will allow you to define extra fields for the user to complete on ticket purchase. I guess that would be helpful for your case. It’s going to be included in release 4.1 coming out early next month.
Please let me know if this info helps to clarify what’s possible at the time,
Best,
