ParticipantHello,
I have a set of The events Calendar + The events Calendar Pro + EDD + EDD Multilingual + EDD Tickets + WPML almost working OK except the following bug:
When I try to add a new ticket like this (in a Spanish version of an Event (or any other language)):

The system says: Your ticket has been saved.

But If I reload the page, the ticket not showing on the event:

If I go to the EDD downloads (tickets) list, I can see that the total count of tickets and the tickets in the list doesn’t match, my recently added ticket is lost somewhere in the bermuda triangle.

If I go to the plugin list and deactivate & reactivate the plugin; “WPML Multilingual CMS“, the ticket comes back from death, but as an english ticket:

If I change its language to spanish (the event language is spanish) and save the ticket:

The ticket gets correctly associated to the event finally!

It works, but I have to follow this tricky procedure everytime I want to add a new ticket.
I hope this info could help in solving this bug.
I wait for news.
Thank you,
David.

ParticipantThe exact same happens when using The Events Calendar with WooCommerce Tickets and WPML. The solution is a bit quicker than the above though. Once you’ve added the ticket and saved your event, just deactivate then reactivate the main WPML plugin and this seems to fix everything.
Sounds like a login error somewhere along the way with WooCommerce Tickets / The Events Calendar. Could really do with a fix for this please. 🙂

ParticipantHey David,
I’m really sorry that you have to jump through so many hoops to get things working at all here. Michael’s suggestion might be of value to you (thank you for posting, Michael!), so that’s worth trying – however, at bottom here our ticketing plugins do not fully integrate with WPML at this time 🙁
These are some known compatibility issues that we are working hard to fix and improve upon, but they’re rather challenging to fix. We also have some major public release changes coming to our ticketing frameworks in the coming months, so it’s difficult to balance these new features and structure with also adding in additional WPML compatibility.
I’m sorry about how disappointing this information is – what are your thoughts in response to it? I will reach out to other team members and see if we have any other solutions at the moment to improve this workflow, but unfortunately I do not think any such solutions exist.
I’m sorry David – at this time, our ticketing plugins simply do not have 100% compatibility with WPML yet. I see that you bought EDD Tickets just a few days ago, so if this lack of complete compatibility is a huge blocking issue for your site, let us know and we can issue a refund for that license immediately!
Thank you,

ParticipantHello.
Michael, I do the same yo said in the post, but when you are using an event in a language that is not English, the extra step of language change is needed.
Thank you both, hope this can be solved soon.
David.

ParticipantThanks David, good to know when we start to create events in other languages.
Agreed, would be great to have this fixed though, it’s a bit of a pain and I would have expected a professional plugin for The Events Calendar would have seamless integration with WPML these days.

ParticipantI’m sorry that things aren’t working more smoothly and automatically! Thank you for your patience while we roll out improvements for compatibility with WPML, which we’ve started doing with the very 3.12 releases that came out this week.
WPML is a non-standard way of translating sites – it’s its own plugin and has its own way of doing things, which unfortunately is made up of a lot of complex custom solutions. Our plugins are all fully translatable with standard methods, and we’re working hard to catch up with WPML and integrate with it safely without adding an immense amount of extra code to our plugins.
Stay tuned to plugin updates, improvements are rolling out over the next many releases to come! 🙂
Cheers,
