We have a website setup with w3c total cache being used to cache the website. I have tried to implement a <!-- mfunc --> tag around the sidebar to avoid caching, but it seems to be acting weird. If you load the site initially, it shows the cached version of the events widget (events from April 2nd) and once you hit refresh, it changes to the 29th of April.

Is there any way to avoid caching this widget specifically?

    Hi Allen,

Thanks for getting in touch! That’s a very interesting issue and one that I’m not sure we’re entirely able to support because it might be part of the W3C world.

Perhaps you can give a few more details about how you’ve added the page fragment caching. I grabbed this from the W3 Total Cache FAQ page just in case:

I look forward to hearing back from you.

    Kind Regards,
    Jami

    Hello Jami.

Thanks for the link, and reply.

It did turn out to be an issue with W3C, I missed an option that needed to be selected.

    Thanks!
