ECP Photo View shortcode – text length

I am using the [tribe_events view=”photo”] shortcode and its working fine, however I’d really like to cut down the length of the text in the event description area. Is there a way to truncate the text or pull the excerpt instead? I have 3 events lined up side by side on my homepage so keeping the text length relatively equal is pretty important.

Please disregard. I wasn’t aware it pulls the excerpt field by default. Issue resolved.
