I’ve been a very satisfied user of Events Calendar Pro (ECP) and really appreciate all of your talent and hard work in making this great WordPress (WP) Plug in.
We’re in process of developing a new site for our customer, Union Square Live.
http://unionsquarelive.org.s146760.gridserver.com/We are also using ECP and the Facebook Events extension to pull event content from our customers Facebook page.
https://www.facebook.com/UnionSquareLiveEverything is working and we’re very excited about the capabilities of the ECP Facebook Events extension.
However, the events that are coming over from FB into the WP site are not displaying the correct event time that is being presented on FB. This is the case for BOTH the Events Index Page
http://unionsquarelive.org.s146760.gridserver.com/events/
and the Individual Event Pages.
http://unionsquarelive.org.s146760.gridserver.com/event/crosscut-3/Can you please tell us how to correct this issue?
Your assistance is appreciated and we look forward to hearing from you soon.PP

MemberHi PP,
Glad you’re enjoying the plugins (though I’m sorry you’re hitting difficulties with the imported event times).
So that looks like a 7hr difference – is that consistent across all the imported events? Is it possible your WordPress timezone setting is UTC-0 (essentially, London time)?

ParticipantThanks Barry for the reply.
I just checked my WP time zone setting and changed it to LA (West Coast PST).
On refresh of page/s the times being displayed on the site are still all over the place.
You can see from the FB Event page (https://www.facebook.com/UnionSquareLive), most event times should be 12:30pm or 6pm.
ECP is presenting 1-3am , 7:30-8:30pm and lots of other times.
So here to from here?

MemberHi: it’s important to note we typically do not provide support on weekends (nor on public holidays). So while we strive to respond within 24hrs – or faster if we can – that doesn’t unfortunately mean we can reply on Saturday if your last post was made on a Friday. I’m sorry you see that as glacial, we definitely don’t want to leave you feeling isolated, but we do try to be upfront about the level of support we provide.

Does that clarify things/can you confirm you are finding it works as expected with newly imported events?

ParticipantThanks Barry for the reply.
Can you recommend how to correct the existing events that have been imported?
Delete ECP FB events plug in? Reinstall it? Reimport FB events?
I need all times to be accurate for site launch.
Your assistance is appreciated.PP

MemberYou could certainly consider completely deleting (ie, trash them and then, as a precaution, empty the trash) and re-import from there.
Other than that – unless you manually correct them – you could potentially run a few SQL queries perhaps wrapped in a short PHP script to do this. However, this former approach may be easier and safer if you don’t feel comfortable putting the necessary queries together.
