Hi @byteplate, so sorry for the trouble here with recurring events!
We published version 4.2.2.1 of Events Calendar PRO about a half hours ago and it includes a fix for these issues.
Please try updating to this version of Events Calendar PRO (while making sure that your version of The Events Calendar is up-to-date at version 4.2.2, as well).
This should prevent the problem from happening again. If you have many instances of recurring events that you want to delete, I’d recommend searching for a free “bulk deletion” plugin on WordPress.org. There are many options—choose one that looks right to you, and it should help with the process of deleting many events at a time.
