Echo Shortcode also doesn't display

Adrotate shortcode not recognized.

I have attempted entering the php code before the html code and after. I have attempted this in the events folder and then attempted even replacing the core file, neither will allow the shortcode echo to function. I am specifically looking to use adrotate, which also has it’s own php code without use echo. I have attempted using this code as well. I am hoping there might be another suggestion on how to get this to work. Thanks.

It would be useful to see what you tried. Can you provide an example of a template that you edited and share the code via Pastebin or Gist?
