EC Pro deactivating with update

    Hi,

    We have EC and EC Pro. I just updated from 4.0.1 to 4.1.1. I selected both plugins and clicked “Update”. Both plugins updated and WP reported success. When I was done, EC was activated; EC Pro was deactivated. The same thing happened on the two previous updates. (I was suspicious of this. This update confirmed my suspicion.)

    If I forget to go back and activate Pro, two of our web pages don’t work. Is it possible to make both plugins reactivate at the end of the update process? Or do we have something installed incorrectly?

    Hi,

    Sorry for the issues you are having. I can help out.

    If you updated 4.1 in the first 48 hours and did not go back later and change the plugin folder names, which was the cause of this then on the update to 4.1.1 it would cause the plugins to deactivate as it would change the folder names again to the correct ones.

    The good news is the 4.1.1 release and after the first 48 hours of 4.1 we fixed the folder issue and this should no longer be a problem going forward now they are back to normal for you.

    If you continue to have issues on a future update please let us know so we can resolve it.

    Thanks, Brian. It’s good to know this is resolved. I review the release notes before updating, but I missed the need to change the folder names.

    There’s no doubt that the EC team is first rate at testing and quality control.

    No worries, it was not something we included in the release notes although maybe we should have.

    I am going to go ahead and close this ticket, but if you need help on this or something else please post a new ticket.
