ParticipantHey Team,
Is it possible to have an early discount date set ? I have tried to set the discount rate in woocommerce but the discounted price does not show on the front end. Please advice me how can i set the discounted ticket price for early buyers.
Thank you

ParticipantSorry regarding the previous question can we also set a discount on quantity purchase ? like if a buyer buy more then “X” number of tickets gets this “X” amount of discount and if the buyer buys the ticket before certain period of time gets a discount ?
Thank you very much

ParticipantHey Carl,
Unfortunately, the closest thing you can get to having discounted early tickets is just to create a lower-price ticket that goes on sale before the other tickets. You can configure this with the “Start Sale” and “End Sale” ticket fields when you’re creating a new ticket. If an event has full price tickets going on sale on May 1, for example, then you could have two full-price ticket options with their “Start Sale” dates on May 1, but then have a discounted ticket whose Start Sale date is something like April 25 and then has the “End Sale” date on May 1 when the normally-priced tickets go on sale.
As for a quantity discount, this is unfortunately also not possible without some extensive code customization.
Sorry to disappoint Carl! Let us know if you have any other questions or concerns.
Cheers,

ParticipantGeorge,
Some of what Carl wants can be accomplished with the WooCommerce sale feature. I have used this to put tickets on-sale until a specified date. The only catch is you need to reset the sale if you edit the tickets. Would it be possible to add support for ‘sales’ on tickets? You pass the fields in your code when creating the ticket, though it’s not fully implemented and you just don’t implement it in your interface.
It’s a feature we use to offer an early purchase discount on concert tickets, it gets around having to do all the math with multiple tickets to make sure you don’t over-sell the venue.

ParticipantHey Richard,
Thanks for your input here. As for your question:
Would it be possible to add support for ‘sales’ on tickets?
It would indeed be possible and may come as a feature in the future, though I can’t promise this or any specific launch date and such.
Sorry for any disappointment there!
Thanks,

ParticipantHey Carl,
Any closing thoughts on this matter? I’m sorry for some of the limitations in functionality that exist here, but hopefully the information and ideas that I shared, and that Richard shared above, can help you have some sort of workable solution on your site.
Is that the case? Let us know, and let us know if you have any other questions or concerns here as well.
Thank you,
