Hi my site is running a deposit payment structure and would like to prevent the Eticket from automaticlly being sent to customer. I only want to send confirmation email that payment has been completed. I want to sent the actual event ticket closer to the event when the final payment has been made by the customer and completed.
The tickets email should only be dispatched once the order is marked as “Complete” – can you confirm if in the case of your setup orders are automatically progressing to that stage?
No they are stuck on processing ive tested the IPN and enabled paypal logging in woocommerce.
I want to control when the e-ticket is sent out to the customer.
The ticket has 2 payments structure and each payment creates a separate order number.
Example
1) deposit payment. (order number 0001)
2 ) final payment. (order number 0002)
Oh I see, so in essence you’ve got a custom flow whereby two separate orders (in a WooCommerce sense) are placed before the order ‘as a complete entity’ can be deemed complete?
If so then, yes, I understand what you’re trying to achieve – but I’m afraid a customization of that nature is not something we can assist with.
Definitely possible, yes, but you’d need to be at home coding and customizing WordPress generally and have a pretty good knowledge of the inner workings of WooCommerce to boot 🙂
