Dynamically Select Page Template (or override selected template)

Apologies if this is covered elsewhere (I’ve not been able to find it):
I’d like to selectively override the events template that is set in display options using code. Essentially I’m trying to use two templates (one for use in a lightbox) and would like to be able to pass some parameter that defines which template file should be used.

Hi sguilliard,

There are different strategies you might use here, depending on what you are comfortable with.

One could be to simply use the Default Events Template but customize it to load separate templates according to what you require. Another could be to exercise control via a template_include filter (or some other suitable hook).
