Participanthi there
on my site i have the option to show the events either as list or as photo view. to access the archive (past events), i created a custom menu with
/list?tribe_event_display=past
this shows the past events as lists. i could also choose to display them as photos with just
/?tribe_event_display=pasti look for a solution which displays the archive in the view the user has currently selected. so when on photo, the archive is displayed as photos. when on list, the archive is shown as list.
how would i best do that?
thanks for help.

KeymasterGrüezi Zora,
Thanks for getting in touch!
I believe setting it up like this would do the trick:

Let me know if that works.

ParticipantHi Andras
Thank you for your proposal. The parameter “/?tribe_event_display=past” displays the archive just as photo view. This I figured out already.
Since the custom menu link for the archive is static, I need a method that modifies the link DEPENDING on which view I currently am. Something like checking the URL string for “list” and then render the static link to “/list?tribe_event_display=past” otherwise to just “/?tribe_event_display=past”.
Do you get my point?
Thanks for further assistance.

KeymasterHi Zora,
I hear you loud and clear.
If you set up the url as I showed you in the previous post it will do what you need.
Here’s a screencast I just did for a visual experience. 🙂
Let me know…

ParticipantHi Andras
Thank you for your wonderful screencast. I figured out my mistake: I still had the EventsCalendar slug added to my menu link, followed by “/?tribe_event_display=past”. That’s why the switch didn’t work.
I’m all good now.
Thank you again for your support and have a great day.Uf widerluege
