My calendar is pulling duplicate information, so I have 8 or the same event on one day list. How can I clear the current calendars and then re-import them ? What do I need to change or update in setting to avoid this in the future?
June 5, 2018 at 7:47 am #1546356JenniferKeymasterHello,
I’m sorry that you’re running into this issue, but I’ll be happy to help you get it figured out.
First, I see that you’re running older versions of WordPress and The Events Calendar – can you try updating to see if the solved the issue? The current versions areĀ 4.9.6 and 4.6.18 respectively. After updating, you’ll want to clear out any caching that you might be doing on your site (such as via a plugin or on your server) and try the imports again to see if you’re still getting duplicates. If so, can you send me the link that you’re importing from so that I can test it out on my end?
Thanks,
Jennifer

I have updated both WordPress & The Events Calendar and I continue to have the same issue. How can I clear out cashing and try to import again?
Here are the 2 google calendars we pull in.

June 15, 2018 at 8:31 am #1554269JenniferKeymasterThanks for sending those links! I tested them out on my end, but I was not seeing duplicates in my local environment.
If you are using a plugin to do any caching on your site, then you would need to clear out the cache within the plugin. Sometimes hosting providers will do caching on the server as well, so you would need to contact them to find out if they are doing any caching and if so, how to clear it (they might do it for you).
To remove the existing events, you can select them in the Events list from your Dashboard, select “Move to Trash”, then delete them permanently from the “Ignored” section (see screenshot). You can delete the existing scheduled imports and reschedule them.
Let me know if this eliminates the duplicates!
Thanks,
Jennifer
