ParticipantI’ve just added the community events add-on, and was having a problem with the before and after html content being displayed twice. These functions are called in the theme file so it displays with the calendar, but I’ve also found the same function calls in /src/Tribe/Main.php that appears to be causing the duplication. Shouldn’t this function only be called from the theme file, so I’m not left modifying the plugin files that will be overwritten with the next plugin update?

MemberGood morning Daniel and welcome to our support forums!
Thank you for your question.
You are absolutely right, the function should be only called once.
In fact, if you haven’t already, I would recommend reading our themer’s guide which gives precise instructions on how to make your customizations upgrade resistant.
If you follow these instructions (depending on what you are trying to accomplish), the customizations will have precedence over the plugin calls.
Let me know if that helps you get rid of the duplicate code.
Have a great day!

ParticipantI’m having the same issues. I’m not going to lie, the themer’s guide is pretty complicated to understand for a non-advanced coder or website designer. Seems more like a bug if it is showing up twice.
This helped to remove it completely
But I’d love to still be able include a custom before and after on the community events page that is different from the calendar itself.

MemberOh, I did forget something important.
The good news is that this has been identified as a legitimate bug.
Unfortunately, I cannot commit to a release date for a fix at this point. But you will be contacted as soon as there is one.
Have a good week-end,
Geoff B.

ParticipantI also discovered that it happens on the My Events page as well when you are logged in.
