ParticipantI have a few event sources setup in the aggregator with the majority of them sourcing from Facebook. Some of the posts are getting duplicated.
Here are some details
– issue has existed for over a week but not sure when started
– I installed (today 8.8.2017) the filters bar and updated my PRO version hoping it would resolve the issue (no such luck 🙁 )
– duplicates are happening from a few different sources but NOT all sources

KeymasterHello Brandon,
Thanks for reaching out and I’m sorry about this duplication issue.
Today we have released an update for The Events Calendar (version 4.5.10) which is addressing the duplication issues.
Please update your plugins and please test if that solves it for you.
Based on your system information – thanks for sharing it – I see that your Events Calendar PRO is quite outdated. I strongly recommend updating that too.
Note, that before any update it is a good idea to make a full backup of your site and database, just in case.
Let me know if the update helps with this issue.
Thanks and cheers,

ParticipantAndras,
Thank you for the prompt reply and also making me aware of the fix. A couple of notes.
– I updated Events Calendar then updated Events Calendar Pro and did NOT see duplicate events removed.
– I did notice for one of my sources I had it listed 3 times in the aggregator so i removed that. However, other sources I only had once had duplicate events. Suggested enhancement: In the imports section i need to be able to identify if i have duplicate sources across my 60+ sources quickly. I can’t search, I can’t sort by source and I can’t export so I have to go page by page to see if i have duplicate sources.
– I saw the “Merge Duplicate” options thinking that might clear up my duplicate events (even though the note indicated otherwise) and it did not help remove the duplicate events created before the fix. As a result I manually removed each duplicate event int he events section by searching for name on my calendar. Suggested Enhancement: Update the “Merge Duplicates” to merge duplicate events with criteria is identical and permalink is slightly different (see example of permalink difference in my originating post) . in the event there is another bug like this in the future folks can remove duplicate events quickly.I’m not closing the issue until another week goes by so i can monitor if any other duplicate events get created. I set a google calendar reminder to check back in a week.
Thank you and stay tuned.

KeymasterHi Brandon,
Thanks for reporting back to me on this topic.
The calendar and an update of the plugin is not supposed to automatically remove the duplicates you have. It contains a fix so that no duplicates are created when an import is ran again.
Thanks for your recommendations. We collect user suggested features and enhancements on our UserVoice page. If you would like to see these as a feature I encourage you to either upvote an existing request or make a new request there.
I will leave this open for the time being so you can report back with any new findings.
Please note, if there is no movement for 3-4 weeks then the thread will be automatically closed. In this case you can simply open a new ticket and reference this one, and we’ll continue where we left off.
Cheers,
