Hi,
I realise that there are a few posts on the forum about duplicate events and while I have tried to search around for an answer to my specific issue I can’t seem to find a solution, that said if there is a thread I can be pointed to then thanks in advance.
My issue is that I am importing data into the plugin using a csv file and have initially come up against a few issues with the data (special chars stopping some events from importing) that thankfully using the forum I have resolved. Great.
I have also seen and been advised that the plugin is set so that when importing a csv, where an event time (start and finish) and event title are the same as an existing event the content of the event that is being imported is loaded over the top of the current event… cool.
So I have imported successfully a set of data from a csv file and got all the events into the plugin just fine. Then to test the update function I immediately re-imported the exact same data, without so much as opening the csv file, and it is importing duplicates. On examining the duplicated events it seems that they are all set to One Day Events.
Is there something awry here that I need to look at my end (csv file content?) or is this known and there is a fix that I can use?
Thanks in advance.
ChrisMay 6, 2015 at 5:15 pm #961009BrianKeymasterHello Again,
So I took a look at this and it appears all day events are always being imported.
From looking at the coding it does not have a check for all day events so it just assumes it is new and reimports them.
I tested in 3.10 our next release and it does the same there. So it appears to be a bug when importing All Day Events.
