ParticipantI’ve got woocommerce tickets set up. That is the only product I’m selling. I’m using paypal standard as my only payment gateway. When a customer places an order, it goes through paypal once (they only get charged once), but it generates two orders (with unique order id #s) for the same number of tickets, and then tells me I’ve sold twice as many tickets as I really have (since the customer really only made one purchase).
I enabled cheque as a payment gateway and made a purchase, and it worked as it should without doubling, so this seems to be limited to paypal.
Is this a paypal issue? Or something on my end? Anyone have any similar experience and a way to fix it?
Thanks!

MemberVery strange – I believe that is the first time we’ve had such a report.
In the first instance can you set up a regular WooCommerce product (ie, not a ticket) and run through the transaction process? Does the same thing happen?

ParticipantHi Barry,
I created a regular product, I called it a book, in WooCommerce and purchased it via paypal and it worked exactly as it should have without creating two orders in the WP admin. So it is only the tickets that are doing this…August 8, 2014 at 3:09 pm #618192Barry
MemberOK, when testing this myself (using the PayPal sandbox) I’m afraid I don’t see the same thing.
Have you run through our standard troubleshooting steps and does that impact at all? Essentially this would boil down to deactivating every plugin except for:
- The Events Calendar
- WooCommerce Tickets
- WooCommerce
Make sure they are all up to date, switch to a default and unmodified theme (like Twenty Thirteen) and test again. Does that same thing still happen?

ParticipantIt seems to be working correctly now. We’ve had a couple orders today that worked exactly as they should. I’m not sure what changed. We are using the Customizr theme and they issued an update today, so maybe that’s what fixed it?…

MemberIf that was the only change then it’s certainly possible, though it’s hard to be certain.
In any case, I’m glad to hear that it is all working as expected and will go ahead and close the thread – if we can help with anything else though (or if this issue returns) please don’t hesitate to create new threads as needed and one of the team will be only too happy to help 🙂
Also, if you have a moment to spare, we’d love to hear your thoughts on The Events Calendar over on our review page – thanks again!
