don't show sidebar on default page template

Hi there,

I don’t want the sidebars to display on the Events Calendar pages.

I understand I can change to ‘default events template’ instead of ‘default page template’ in settings, but this shows the wrong colours so you can’t properly read the text (trying skeleton, full, or tribe events styles doesn’t solve this either). I want to keep the ‘default page template’ but not show a sidebar.

I tried pasting the css from here into my theme’s css: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/remove-sidebar-from-events-page/ but it didn’t change anything. Am I doing something wrong or is there another way to do this?

BTW I disabled all other plugins and tried the default WP theme and storefront theme and the sidebar still shows.

Our events template does not include any sidebar. The sidebar is showing up beacause you are using the default page from your theme, which includes a sidebar.

The sidebar is coming from your theme, so you should see if there is any setting in your theme that allows the sidebar to be removed. If you can’t find one, then I’d suggest to get in touch with the theme developers and see if they provide this option.

You could also customize our templates by using one of the methods described in our Themer’s Guide > https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/themers-guide/
