Does the FB Events plugin allow export of events TO FB?

As I read the documentation, the plugin imports events FROM facebook and into EC, but does the reverse also function? Can we export events from EC and into Facebook?

Hello Mike right now this isn’t possible, but you should be able to do it with the Eventbrite add-on. The Facebook add-on is almost brand new so it is still in infant stages. It’s a good idea though!

This is exactly why I came to search this forum, too! I don’t get the reasoning for importing from FB to the on-site calendar??? It makes much more sense to update your website and have that info propagate to your attached social media accounts (at least that makes much more sense to us, anyway) and what we were hoping for from Events Calendar PRO is that exact thing: when we add an event to the calendar it automatically posts that event to our Facebook page wall. Hopefully, this functionality will be enabled soon? Great plugin, btw. LOVE IT. Just this one thing would make it perfect. 🙂 🙂 🙂

Hey Erin. Thanks for the note here, and my apologies for the delay in getting you a response – Joyce who posted the thread above initially is unfortunately no longer with us.

We definitely want to incorporate the ability to send events back to Facebook; we don’t have plans for it in the immediate future but it is certainly the end goal. (Building that architecture is unfortunately far more complex than building the export architecture, so we wanted to go ahead and get the FB -> WP approach out there first and foremost.
