Does Keyword search in the filter bar search Organizer and Venue?

As the title says. It seems keyword searches in the Description but not Organizer or Venue. Is that correct?

Hi Courtney,

It appears “Code for Brazil” is also in the description, which is why those events are returned.

If I search for “Centro Internacional de Inovacao” (the venue name) there are no results returned.

Is there any way to include organizer and venue in search queries?

If that doesn’t fit your needs, check out Filter Bar https://theeventscalendar.com/product/wordpress-events-filterbar. Users can sort based upon the organizer and venue with this. It is the 2nd row on the http://wpshindig.com/events/ page.

Substantial is also in the description of that event 🙂

I do have the the Filter Bar plugin as well. My client feels having organizer and venue as filter options in addition to what is already there is too overbearing for users.

So sorry for the delayed response. I think it only searches title and description, just like the default WordPress search.
