Displaying Next Event on Home Page

I have the next event showing on the home page of one of my client’s sites: http://la.scotchclub.us. As you can see, it displays the basic info for the next event.

However, the next event is not showing on the sister site, http://atlanta.scotchclub.us, even though I have copied the functions.php file and the template-home.php file exactly.

I’m using the Canvas theme by Woothemes, and as far as I know have copied everything exactly.

Anyone have any insight? Thanks!

And I see this event:

March 28 @ 6:00 pm – 10:00 pm

Should it be showing another event? What is the Event List Widget Settings?

I’m sorry, I should have been more specific – it should be showing a preview of the event under the slideshow in the main body of the page, just as it is on the LA.scotchclub.us site. ( I think you’re looking at the sidebar widget, which is working fine. )

It is hard to say what the issue is as it is custom coding. I am limited on the support I can provide on it, but…

Are they the same theme?

I do not see any coding at all for the event.

If you type echo “here”; into the php does that show to at least verify it is pulling the right template?>

If it is correct have you tried WordPress Debug to see if any errors show:
