    Hi,

I am considering upgrading to The Events Calendar Pro, but one of the functionalities I would really like (and not sure if it’s included) is to be able to display a list of events on a page of my site in a grid. At the moment the events just display as large, full width display listed down the page. I would like to display multiple events but have them in a grid, i.e. having 8 events in a four column, 2 row grid with thumbnails and basic info.

    Is this possible?

    Hello Kim,

Thanks for using our plugins and considering an upgrade!

Events Calendar PRO doesn’t provide a grid view like you described, however it does come with a photo view that is pretty similar and has 3 columns. The number of columns cannot be changed with a setting, but it might be possible with some coding / customization.

Here is our demo page to show you how the photo view looks like: https://wpshindig.com/events/photo/

You can also create template overrides, basically create a layout that you want and use that instead of the build in ones. You could exchange the list view to the 4×2 view you described. This requires some knowledge in HTML and PHP.

You can find more information on template overrides in our Themer’s Guide – https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/themers-guide/

And for template overrides you do not need Events Calendar Pro.

Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any further questions.

    Cheers,
    Andras
