MemberGood evening John and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!
Thank you for reaching out to us.
I would love to help you with this topic. Is there a way to display thee upcoming event widget on my homepage if it is not WP?
That is a great question.
The short answer is that you could probably achieve that with some coding or the use of an iframe in your non-WordPress website.
Unfortunately, it is slightly outside of the scope of the support we can provide for our plugin.
With that in mind, I would:
- Read on how to use iFrames on an HTML site
- Give the following a shot: http://www.web-source.net/embedding_web_pages.htm#.V39JApMrI6s
Let me know if that helps.
Have a great day!

ParticipantThanks for this reply Geoff.
I can do iftame but I have a question about [tribe_events_list] shortcode. Where in WP do I need to put this so it works correctly. For example I created new page https://www.hawaiidiscount.com/events/upcoming-events/ using this shortcode but it doesn’t work. Thanks!July 8, 2016 at 2:01 pm #1137558John Fradella
ParticipantI also read this article https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/configuring-the-calendar-widget/ but there is no Event Calendar widget available in my widget area. How can I add it?
There is only Event List which works only if it is added in the sidebar – see here https://www.hawaiidiscount.com/events/upcoming-events/
In this case the Event List is the only thing that the template shows. Above you can see the shortcode for [tribe_mini_calendar] which doesn’t work. Basically no shortcodes work for me. What’s wrong?

MemberGood evening John,
Thanks for writing back.

That’s a great question.
Shortcodes come as a feature for customers using the Events Calendar Pro: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/pro-widget-shortcodes/.
There is unfortunately no shortcodes built-in in the Events Calendar free or in Community Events.
This is why they have not been working on your site so far.But there is also the following third-party plugin that is available for free: https://wordpress.org/plugins/the-events-calendar-shortcode/
I also read this article https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/configuring-the-calendar-widget/ but there is no Event Calendar widget available in my widget area. How can I add it?
Those extra widgets are also a part of the Events Calendar Pro : https://theeventscalendar.com/product/wordpress-events-calendar-pro/
So in short, it sounds like you might be a prime candidate for our Pro add-on.
Let me know if that helps.
Have a great day!

ParticipantHi Geoff, I am already a PRO member and if you wish I can provide you with my License Key. That being said, I come back to what I already said – the shortcodes dont work for me.

ParticipantOk I see that what we have is actually the Community Events plugin, not the PRO. Will discuss this with team members and decide if we get pro. Thanks.
