Display month in calendar icon or group by month

I have the events list widget displayed on my home page. Is there a way to get the icon that displays to the left of each event to show the month? Or, is there a way to group items by month?

Thanks for reaching out to us!

You can add the month to that section by following our Themer’s Guide to copy the pro > widgets > modules > single-event.php file into your theme and adding an additional span (https://cloudup.com/cb7Qajam3S9) to include the date. You can copy one of the lines from the above image and modify the date format element to the month format that you would like (M, m).
