display events on homepage

Hi
Is there any way we can display the latest events on homepage either as a grid or list including thumbnail featured image and possibly a text excerpt?

Like on the default events page, but on the homepage altogether with other feeds and promotions?

like this but home (this is a work on progress pre-design site):

In Pro we have the shortcodes for our widgets that can display events:

They do not include a feature image, but we have this guide that might help you out:
