Laura
ParticipantI need to insert a simple list of just today’s current events within a page. It should include the title, time, and venue.
What is the best way to do this? Based on where I am placing this, it would be best to use a shortcode. The amount of events range between 2 and 8 events depending on the day.
I’ve started by using [tribe_events_list venue=”yes”], but wasn’t able to figure out how to get it to show only today’s events. I would also like to remove the boxes containing the date. Is there a simple solution to this, or do I need to apply some custom code? I’m open to suggestion of a different approach.
I feel comfortable customizing code, and I already have a child theme in place, as I’ve done some other theme customizations.
Also, if you know of a thread that already answers this question, please point me there.

MemberHey Laura
Can you try this:
[tribe_events view="day" date="today"]
Let me know if this works for you. Find other options in the day view at https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/embedding-calendar-views-tribe_events-shortcode/.
Thanks

ParticipantI did try the code you provided, and it does not show only today’s events — in fact that just shows the full calendar.
I also tried the following and the date field seemed to do nothing there as well.
[tribe_events_list venue=βyesβ date="today"]August 7, 2018 at 12:38 pm #1592366Laura
ParticipantHello, I figured out why the day view is not showing. I didn’t have it checked in my settings to display as an option in the Tribe bar.
But, this view is not meeting my goals. I need a simple list that only shows Title, time, and venue. I do not want to show the featured image or description. I also want to hide the tribe bar, and next and previous links.
Also, when I use the [tribe_events] shortcode, I get a blank page when I go to edit the page. I am using the theme Divi, and I was able to remove the shortcode by using their visual builder so I could get back into the edit page. Any ideas why this is happening?

MemberHey Laura
I’ve submitted the shortcode blank page issue on as a bug report.
At this time, we do not have a “today” shortcode that omits those details. With some CSS, we could hide those things.
Can you place the shortcode somewhere that I can see it, share a link, and I can help hide those areas you’ve requested?
Thanks

ParticipantHey Courtney,
Thank you so much for submitting that bug!
I was thinking using CSS would be the easiest way to display what I need if you didn’t have another option for me. I’m an expert at CSS, and feel comfortable doing that myself. Should I post my CSS when I figure it all out?
Here’s the page I’m testing it on:

The business is closed Monday – Wednesday, so you’ll have to go to a day they are openI’m using this short code:
[tribe_events view=”day” tribe-bar=”false”]August 9, 2018 at 1:05 pm #1594214Courtney
MemberGreat to hear Laura
Since you marked this as resolved, I’ll close out the thread. I will add just that if you think that is something you would like as a feature I encourage you to visit our User Voice Page and either upvote an existing request or make a new request there.
You can suggest it at http://tribe.uservoice.com.
Thanks
