hi …
we updated to 3.8 and now the Detailview is not working anymore …
We got a InternalServer Error …
Any Ideas ?October 7, 2014 at 6:45 am #793986BrianKeymasterHello,
Sorry for the issues you are having on your site after the 3.8 Update.
I looked at this site http://www.woodlandevents.eu/
And see the News Page gives me a “Internal Server Error”.
I could not find any errors on the Events Calender Pages, could you please provide the url for the page not working.
Can you please follow our Testing For Conflict Guide:
https://theeventscalendar.com/support/documentation/testing-for-conflicts/
And see if that can narrow down the conflict or remove the error.
If you can also check your error logs and see if there is anything that might point to a conflict that would help us as well.
Previous Versions
If you have to get the site backup you can download version 3.7 in your Account Central section on tri.beLet me know what you find out and we can go from there.
Thanks
Also, I know you created another ticket about your blog, but I am going to remove that ticket and provide support through this ticket only as they appear to be related issues.
October 7, 2014 at 8:27 am #794221freiformatParticipanthere is a example-link to the detailview of EventCalendar …
http://www.woodlandevents.eu/event/gsf-sued-saisonabschluss-weihnachtsgame/
all Detail-Links are not working …
we tried everything … we have the problem now for over a week .. we have another Post / Discussion (https://tri.be/support/forums/topic/enormous-perfomance-problems/#post-793511)October 7, 2014 at 8:28 am #794223freiformatParticipantand there are no info’s in the error-logs ..
October 7, 2014 at 11:46 am #794580BrianKeymasterSorry for the continued issues. This looks like a strange case with no easier answers from both tickets.
Are you able to check the traffics logs on your host(not Google Analytics) and are you seeing an increase in traffic (both real or spam)?
Also could you provide details on your hosting setup such as the plan you use? That may help track down this issue.
PageSpeed
I looked at your site on Pagespeed as it seemed to loaded unusually slow.https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/
Do you think you could run your url through there and do some of the suggestions for caching the site to see if that helps improve performance and maybe stop some of these errors?
Let me know what you find out and we can go from there.
Thanks
October 9, 2014 at 5:54 am #798524freiformatParticipantok guys .. now i changed again the theme to default theme (twenty twelve) and now the site works well with your plugins .. now i’m absolutely confused and can’t understand the whole thing …
Activated Gameplan Theme (http://themeforest.net/item/gameplan-event-and-gym-fitness-wordpress-theme/5936266) and activated TRIBE-plugins => Site crashes
The same setup with only 44 Events => no problemActivated DEFAULT THEME (twenty twelve) and activated Tribe Plugins and over 255 Events => no problem …
so please tell me whats going wrong here … i can’t understand
October 9, 2014 at 1:11 pm #799234BrianKeymasterUnfortunately, it looks like it is a theme conflict since it works without the theme or with a low amount of Events. We try to help out with some theme compatibility issues, but ultimately that is beyond the support we can provide per our terms of service.
There are a bunch of different things that can be done: (in no order)
- I would recommend contacting the theme developer and see if they have a fix for this.
- I saw you may have a child theme of GamePlan, if that is correct does it work with the base theme?
- If The Events Calendar 3.7 was working you could downgrade to that version for all the plugins and try again in the future to update.
- Start a new install of WordPress for the site and import all the content through an xml and setup a new site and see if that fixes the issue.
- Another option is what Barry said “What if you export the database from the live site, and export it to the test site? Can it be replicated then?”
Sorry for not having concrete solutions, but we are not experiencing this on any other customer sites so it makes it difficult for us to know what the conflict is on your site either from the plugin, theme, or server that is causing this.
October 24, 2014 at 1:58 pm #833334BrianKeymasterSince I haven’t heard back from you here, I’m going to go ahead and close out this thread. Feel free to start a new thread if you have further issues. Thanks! 🙂
