ParticipantWhen I create a series Event, and click on that event in the calendar view, it links to the corresponding detail page for that date.
After editing the series for whatever reason, the link to the detail page appears correct, but when clicked, it auto forwards to the LAST detailed event in the series. My client is not happy and I have tried to figure this out for hours with no luck.October 30, 2015 at 11:32 am #1020358Cliff
MemberHi David. Sorry to hear this. I know it’s frustrating when stuff doesn’t work, especially when clients are involved. I’ll definitely help you get things working!
Can you reproduce these troubleshooting steps? (i.e. is this your issue?)
• Go to Events > Settings, and make sure the “Recurring event instances” option is NOT checked.
• Go to a single event on the front-end of your site. Click the “Previous Event” and “Next Event” links and confirm that they work.
• Go back to Events > Settings, and this time CHECK the “Recurring event instances” option.
• Go back to a single event on your site, and again check the “Previous” and “Next” Events links.
• They should work fine and be accurate in pointing to the actual previous and next event, respectively. If that DOES seem to be your issue, please know that we’re aware of the bug and are working on it. We don’t give ETAs, but — if this is your issue — I can add this forum ticket to the list of tickets that should be updated once the fix is released.

ParticipantCliff,
Thanks you for your response. I went through the procedure, and rechecked.
The Events list previous/next appear to work ok. The short descriptions of the events appear with correct dates.
If you go to:
http://yogabydonation.org/events/list/?tribe_paged=2&tribe_event_display=list
and scroll down to the “Test Event” for November 2nd.
That appears correct.
The hyperlinked Title or the “find out more” appears to link to:
http://yogabydonation.org/event/test-event/2015-11-02/but when clicked
it jumps to
http://yogabydonation.org/event/test-event/2015-11-23/
(this is the LAST event in the series)The same event in series the following week on November 9th appear to be ok.

ParticipantGuys,
I performed a local install of the site, and proceeded to do iterative rollbacks of The Event Calendar plugin. I was at the latest version 3.12.3.
Upon reaching 3.11.2 the issue appears to resolve itself.
I hope this helps.October 31, 2015 at 7:12 am #1020506David Long
ParticipantUpdate.
Apparently when I rolled back, my The Events Calendar PRO plugin was not longer activated.
As soon as I activate the The Events Calendar PRO plugin, the issue returns.help.

ParticipantCliff.
I established a test site here:
http://ybd.marathon-consulting.biz/
if you go to
http://ybd.marathon-consulting.biz/events/
you will see a weekly calendar.
On Friday, there is a repeating Event called Test2
It repeats every Friday until January 15, 2016.
Friday’s November 6th- Test2 event detail page links to the last event in the series for January 15th, 2016.
This is incorrect.Note: WhenI first create the event, the link works fine.
If I go in and edit the series, just updating some text in the description, it breaks, pointing to the END date.
The following Friday Event2 points to the correct detail page.Somehow, updating an event series causes the first event in the series to point to the last.

MemberDavid, thanks for the additional information. I’ve added this to the current bug we’re tracking and working on a fix for. This thread should get updated once the fix is released; however, we do not provide ETAs for software updates.
