    If someone types in a search phrase, like the title of an event, but that event has passed then nothing shows up in the search results.

    A user has to click on the Events From date and select a date PRIOR to the event’s date.

    Is there a way to set the search date to the oldest date possible so if someone only types in a phrase it will search all of the events, no matter how old?

    Hi there, Mark!

    Good question. I do believe that would be possible, though it would take a fair amount of custom development to accomplish rather than something we support out of the box. If that’s a feature you’d like considered, I’d suggest adding it to our UserVoice page where we take new feature requests.

    Hi,

    Any update on this? I didn’t see anything related to that in user voice. 🙁
    I use the event system as an archive and people often need to search for past events to find back the slides or the video.

    Is it possible to add like a checkbox that just adds a param to the query or something else?

    I too have a need to allow users of my website to QUICKLY locate past events to view presentation files, photos, and videos. I have regular monthly meetings, bi-annual conferences, and quarterly mixers that all have these types of artifacts.

    For the time being, this would take custom development that we unfortunately cannot support here in the forums. As mentioned above, we’d be happy to take that new feature suggestion on our UserVoice page, if someone wants to post it. That’s where we track new feature requests for consideration.
