Default author for community-submitted event

We allow anonymous event submissions using the Community Events plugin. Our editors then review and publish the event.

When submitted anonymously, the community events plugin defaults to the first author (alphabetically) in our WP users list. This particular author does not make sense as the author for that event. We need the ability to set a default author for anonymously-submitted events. It is not practical to have to change this every time using the author meta box.

That does sound frustrating. You make a good point. I’m going to ask one of the developers about it and see what they say. It sounds like something that many users could benefit from.
