Default Admin Sorting

I am creating several recurring events. the first one is recurring every monday at 5pm.
If I click events in the admin area, I would expect to see the next up coming event first then every event after that. Instead I see June 3, 2019? Is there a fix for this? It doesn’t make much sense the way it currently is.

If I have an event that has a start time and no end time and want it to display like: 5pm – Close How would you go about doing that?

Thanks for reaching out!

Events are listed in that order by default, but you can reverse the order by clicking on “Start Date” in the admin view. This will let you see the events that are coming up next at the top of the list. I’d recommend checking out our free Advanced Post Manager plugin, which provides some additional options for sorting/filtering posts on the backend.

It is not currently possible to create an event without an end time, but if you set the end time to be the same as the start time, only the start time will display on the front end. If you wanted to add “- Close” for events with the same start and end time, you would need to do a customization. Our themer’s guide has some great info on customizing our plugins and is the best place to start if you’d like to give this a shot!
