    Hi,
i’m going to launch my website and using your calendar for my guided tours events
I’m thinking about buying the pro version but i have some questions.
What about multiple days events? Is it possible to create and insert them in the calendar?
One function i would really appreciate will be the possibility to exclude some days from the calendar (when i’m not available or busy) turning the day red. is there some way to select days avaiability?
Another question is: when i filter the events with the filter bar, are the events on the list clickable?
    thank you very much
    Best regards
    Alex

    Hi Alex,

Thanks for reaching out. There are a few questions here that I will address in order:

    1. First, yes, you can create events that span multiple days. The fact that they do span multiple events is apparent in any of the Calendar views, especially our newly-built week view.

    2. As for excluding some days from the calendar, and having them marked red if excluded, this is unfortunately quite tricky to do. You can use custom CSS at the bottom of your theme’s style.css file to highlight specific days and mark them/highlight them with a bold red color or something, but there are two things to point out here: a) there is not an option or setting that you could easily just check or select that would enable this sort of display, and b) we don’t offer any support for custom coding, so we wouldn’t be able to help much with writing the custom CSS you’d need for this.

    3. If I understand your third and final question about events being “clickable” after filtering them via the Filter Bar correctly, then yes, the events will remain as clickable post-filtering as they were pre-filtering.

I hope each of these answers is helpful, Alex. Let me know if that’s the case! If not, elaborate on the details of the question(s) I failed to answer and I’ll give them a second try 🙂

    Thanks,
    George

    Thanks a lot George!
Question 1 & 3: ok perfect, So the Filter Bar and the Multiple days option are available only in the PRO version. isn’t it?
Question 2: So you say i could custom the css file to do it working? without having any copyright violation? 🙂
    Thank again

    Hey Alex,

The Filter Bar is a separate premium add-on that you can buy here → https://theeventscalendar.com/product/wordpress-events-filterbar/

As for multiple-day options being PRO only, no, they are not PRO only.

Finally, yes, you can customize any code – CSS, JavaScript, PHP, even WordPress core itself – however you’d like. It’s not a copyright issue at all. (Although, if you then went around saying you were Modern Tribe, Inc. and that you wrote all the JavaScript and CSS yourself, and started selling it, that would be intensely problematic 🙂 )

We don’t offer support for customizations here – neither helping to create them, nor troubleshooting problems related to / stemming from them, but our code is open-source like WordPress itself and you can customize both infinitely.

    Cheers!
