ParticipantDear Support,
When I view the current day’s events from the gridview, my page seems to be hiding the next and previous links at the bottom of the page. I have searched for a solution to this issue and I can’t find out what is causing the problem. I would appreciate your help. See the actual page here: http://events.bestofnj.com/calendar/2013-04-23/

MemberHi John: those links only appear if pagination is required – are there any other events you would expect to see listed on that date?

ParticipantYes, all the events for that day and many other days that have lots of events are not showing. The pagination does not seem to be working. I thought there might be a limit setting somewhere that I needed to adjust.

MemberOK: I’m still just trying to get a sense of what might be going wrong here.
If I visit http://events.bestofnj.com/calendar/2013-04-23/ I see 8 events, 2 of which are multiday and their date range includes 23 April and 6 of which actually start on April 23.
I see the same events on your calendar view at http://events.bestofnj.com/calendar/ and if I view your upcoming events list at http://events.bestofnj.com/calendar/upcoming/ I can also locate the 6 events which start on April 23.
So, my questions to you would be:
1) Which events are missing from the day view? Can you provide a URL for one of the missing single events?
2) All of the different views – day, month, upcoming – all seem to me to be in synch. So does this problem as you see it actually encompass more than just the single day view?
Thanks!
Barry

ParticipantBarry,
I am sorry it took me so long to get back to you on this.
Here is an example day view: http://events.bestofnj.com/calendar/ on that page only 10 events are showing.
Now go to the calendar for that day and you will see that there are 14 events listed.
I think that there is some setting that is only showing 10 events per day. I have noticed this on multiple pages.
You seem to be concerned that some of those events are multiple day events. Am I conceiving of something wrong to expect the calendar to show all the events of the day regardless of whether or not some of those are repeating events. I do not understand your point or your concern.
The problem seems to be limited to the single day view.

I simply couldn’t see the problem using the example you provided – however I see what you mean now and can replicate this.
It looks as though pagination isn’t supported on day view, so bear with me while I ask a developer about this/check if they can provide a quick solution.

MemberHi John,
We’re looking at a way to list all events on day view without the need for pagination links. I just wanted to give you a heads up that we haven’t forgotten about you and as soon as the assigned developer gets back to me I’ll update this thread.

ParticipantBarry,
I was able to make a work around. I changed the default number of events shown to 30 and that pretty much fixes the issue because there are hardly ever more than that.

MemberHi John – that’s great if that works for you. If you want to try it out though our developer just cooked up this snippet which you would drop in your theme’s functions.php file.

ParticipantThanks Barry! I’ll give it a whirl.

MemberI’m guessing you don’t need further help here and will now close this thread: some significant changes as of the forthcoming 3.0 release may also provide resolution.
