Day View: Kicked Out of Calendar

I installed PRO yesterday and been testing it out. When I select ‘Day View,’ it does not load and I get kicked out of the calendar section and automatically returned to the Home Page.

Hi – sorry to hear you’re hitting difficulties.

There is unfortunately a bug here and it relates to accessing day view (for “today”) when using default or “ugly” permalinks. Would it be possible for you to investigate switching to pretty permalinks?

Often this is as easy as navigating to the Permalinks Settings screen and selecting an option like %postname% then saving the changes.

Apparently, my theme doesn’t allow pretty permalinks. So my only solution appears to be to drop ‘day view’ from the options. Kind of weird for the user but better than being kicked out and their are plenty of other options to get to the info. Any other thoughts?

Interesting that the theme requires default permalinks.

Really, other than following the same course of action as you already did (deactivating day view) I could only suggest waiting until we deliver a fix in a future release (and we’ll do our best to post an update in here when we do so).
