ParticipantHi there,
I am here because the free forums suggested I go here since I use the paid plugins (https://wordpress.org/support/topic/dates-off-a-day-on-google/#post-8717640)
OK, dates are off by a day when you search my sit in Google. Why? What can I do to fix this?
Thanks, Mike

ModeratorHey Mike ๐
Do you have a Google Webmasters account? If not, I recommend setting one up so you can further investigate your Google search results. You’ll especially want to make sure a sitemap has recently been submitted. Let me know if this helps lead you in the right direction and have a good evening!

ParticipantHello,
I do have a Google Webmasters account. I have a sitemap submitted for BuzzbinShop.com too. Let me know the next step.
Thanks, Mike

ModeratorHey Mike,
There doesn’t currently appear to be any issues of other users reporting similar behaviors, so I’m not sure the incorrect dates listed on Google relate to our plugins. I’d spend more time investigating the matter – try searching our forums and Google’s forums to see if you can further identify the reasoning behind the incorrect dates and possible solutions.
If you do somehow identify our plugin to be the cause of conflict, please provide as much documentation on the matter and step-by-step instructions on reproducing the problem so I can attempt to recreate the behavior. If I’m able to, I’ll get a bug report logged and our devs will get to work on a solution.
Please let me know what you find and have a great weekend ahead. Cheers ๐

ParticipantHi there,
OK, here’s what I found.
1. Before I activated The Events Calendar I hate no dates showing up in google. On of the things that was a selling point was that you guys provide meta data so that Google will pick it up for events.
2. If I don’t use your plugin then there is no dates in Google.
For whatever reason your plugin is sending the wrong dates.
What was the purpose in asking me if I had a Google Webmaster account? I’m not seeing where this is playing into a resolution.
Thank you, Mike.

ModeratorHey Mike,
I did a general Google search on your site and it looks like all the results are listing the correct dates:

The reason I ask if you had a Google Webmaster account is because you should be able to a) identify why the events are displaying the incorrect dates and b) update your sitemap once you have addressed the issue so Google reflects the correct dates.
The Events Calendar indeed uses Googleโs Structured Data format for schema/rich snippets. As previously mentioned, we don’t have any logged bugs relating to schema/rich snippets. Please let me know if this helps answer your questions. Cheers ๐

Thanks so much!
