Guest
We are trying to make a weekly schedule for a gym, similar to this site: http://www.ghfc.com/class-schedules.aspx#filters

Is there a somewhat easy way to modify events calendar pro to be a date-less week view since the schedule is the same every week?

Specifically, the dates aspect would have to be invisible to staff members managing the classes on the backend.

Perhaps permanently fix everything to one particular week or automatically assume that you are always creating/editing a recurring instance?

MemberHi Tom,
Sorry about the preview facilities!
It’s possible to do just about anything with the plugin and you can certainly either put some code in place to force week view to a specific week or else hide all elements that relate to the actual week being viewed (or you could do both those things).
There are a ton of actions and filters not to mention other means of customizing things such as overrideable templates – so really the only limit is your imagination š
I hope that answers your question, but please don’t hesitate to let me know if I can provide more detail on anything else.

GuestI’m not worried too much about the front end as I am the administrative area.
I’m guessing having the dates is fully ingrained in the product, so they would be hidden, not removed.
The administrator users shouldnt know about the dates when they are managing or creating new classes. How would you suggest implementing this?

MemberHi Tom,
You’dĀ need a creative workaround for sure. Taking a high level view there are certainly ways and means of hiding those date inputs from users, so from there the question is what do you set them to “under the hood” and how do you flag up events internally as being dateless (perhaps you might set up postmeta fields or something like that).
However, these are really challenges we’d need to leave to you/the implementing developer to solve š
