Date to include year

I would like to have the year shown on the event for better data highlighting in google

Now: May 6 @ 9:00 am – 1:00 pm

I would like to show May 6, 2017 @ 9:00 am – 1:00 pm

Thanks for your detailed request.

Here’s how it works:

• https://github.com/moderntribe/the-events-calendar/blob/4.4.5/src/views/single-event.php#L37 uses tribe_events_event_schedule_details()…
• which, here, removes the year from displaying if the event starts and ends in the current year.

In other words, if it’s currently 2017 and an event starts and ends in 2017, it won’t display “2017”, but if it starts or ends in a year other than 2017, it’ll display the year.

Is this satisfactory to you? I ask because maybe you weren’t aware that other years do get their year displayed here.

Just wanted to share with you that a new maintenance release (for the Week of 15th May 2017) is out, including an enhancement for this ?

Basically there’s a new filter ‘tribe_events_event_schedule_details_use_yearless_format’ you can use to have more control over the schedule details format. You can browse the code change here.
