ParticipantI have changed the general settings to 24-hour format and DD/MMMM/YYYY
However this is not displayed corectly in the minicalendar view is it shows “januar 20 @ 16:00 – 17:00”
And in the admin menu its all wrong as I still have choose AM or PM, and the date is shown as YYYY/MM/DD???

MemberHi Rune, sorry to hear you are hitting difficulties on this one. Can you try adding this snippet to your theme’s functions.php file: does that help here?

ParticipantWhere in the file should it added, or doesn’t that matter?
I tried adding it at the bottom of the functions.php but that doesn´t do anything.
I also tried adding it in the the bottom of the enfold-functions.php but that made the page failJanuary 21, 2014 at 7:29 am #95144Barry
MemberHi!
A good position would be below the opening
<?phptag but above the first line of existing code. If you still hit problems, share a copy of your functions.php code showing what you have tried and we’ll see if any obvious problems jump out (please share code using a service like Pastebin or Gist, however, rather than posting it directly in the forum). Thanks!

ParticipantStill the same.
Here’s the file http://pastebin.com/F2u0fv6jJanuary 22, 2014 at 6:57 am #95622Barry
MemberCan you provide a URL where I can see the date in question just in case we’re getting our wires crossed? I did try following the URL you provided when you opened the thread however it doesn’t seem to lead to an active site.

MemberThanks! However, I’m still a little unclear as to what you are expecting here. In your opening post you wrote:
I have changed the general settings to 24-hour format and DD/MMMM/YYYY
When I visited the URL you provided I see the mini calendar output and that the dates are formatted like this one: 22. januar 2014. However, that also seems to be the date format used by your posts (here’s a date from one of the blog posts I noticed at the same UR:: 21. januar 2014).
Basically, it all seems to be in order. Can you confirm if I’m missing something and detail what you are trying to achieve? DD/MMMM/YYYY is a little ambiguous – do you actually want forward slashes in there, like 01/januar/2014?
Thanks!

ParticipantSorry…yeah the mini calendar is fine now. It´s when I want to add a new event that formatting is all wrong. It´s YYYY-MM-DD and then am/pm
Try to login and seeJanuary 22, 2014 at 6:35 pm #95875Barry
MemberOh I see, you mean the event time and date settings in the admin environment (where you create and edit events)? If so I’m afraid that no, they do not support the date and time formatting as defined in WordPress settings.
Please do consider making a feature request or adding your support to a suitable existing request, however: http://tribe.uservoice.com.
Thanks!

ParticipantThat’s a feature?
I would say it´s a bugJanuary 23, 2014 at 5:27 am #95995Barry
MemberIt’s certainly subjective: I wouldn’t personally call it a bug, it’s doing what it is designed to do, and further enhancements – making it do something new – would seem to me be to be more of a feature request than a bug report.
On a practical level, you need to be aware that there are practical difficulties in making a Javascript-based date picker efficiently mimic PHP date formatting rules (which is what WordPress uses by extension). We might be able to more readily handle a subset of this – such as 24hr format times and I’d agree that makes a lot of sense.
The primary reason I’d ask you to post this on UserVoice is that it can be a useful tool to gauge support for enhancements like this, as others can show their support for the idea or add additional feedback that could be useful in shaping the direction we take.
I hope that better explains our position. Since I don’t think there’s much more we can offer on this one, certainly in the short term, I’ll go ahead and close this thread. Please do consider posting your suggestions on UserVoice, however.
