Customize edit screen and change order of the fields

Hi,
how I change the order of the fields in the editing screen of the event? for example the “website event” field before the “venue” field. I need this in particular for the additional fields, i wish to position them at the top of the edit screen before the “time and day”.

thank you for your reply.
Can you just tell me here if what I asked is possible (and enough simple to achieve without a programmer)? My client need some additional fields in “The Event Calendar” metabox but he want to choose the editing order, and this request is mandatory for him.

Hey Emanuele,

Looking at the template which drives the event meta within the dashboard, it does appear that there would be a straightforward way to move those elements without overwriting the plugin file. There are hooks in there to add additional fields anywhere you would like though.

An alternative may be to look at the Community Events plugin and have the client enter events via the front-end form there. Those front-end templates can be easily overwritten within your theme following our Themer’s Guide to be any order that you would like.
