Customize display of additional fields

I want to change the display of additional fields. Specifically I would like to offer a download link, but I don’t want the link to be the URL. So how can I modify that?

Also need to modify the template so it doesn’t appear in the OTHER section of a single event.

Hi fxidesigns:

We’ve got a couple of filters that allow you to modify the generated list of custom fields:

• tribe_get_custom_fields lets you access an array containing all the additional fields for a post and you can modify any of the elements within it
• tribe_event_pro_meta_custom_meta allows you to modify the generated HTML containing those custom fields

In terms of moving fields from one group to another please refer to the following:

• How the Tribe Meta Factory works
• tribe_register_meta_group() function
• tribe_set_meta_value() function
• tribe_register_meta() function

It is a comparatively advanced customization, but is certainly feasible. Good luck!
