ParticipantHello, I would like to customise the ticket that gets emailed out. I need to be able to edit basic text, change the colour scheme and also make it display additional information from the cart.
For example, using WooCommerce Checkout Add-Ons I have created a Gift Aid button that adds money to the total ticket price. Would it be possible to display on the ticket that they have ticked “yes” to the Gift Aid option?

ModeratorHi James,
Welcome back! If you create a custom template as explained in our Themer’s Guide, you should be able to make the changes you’ve described. Please spend some time reviewing the aforementioned resource and let me know if you have any more questions.
Have a great rest of your weekend and thanks for choosing Event Tickets Plus. Cheers!

ParticipantCould you tell what the ticket file is called? I can’t seem to find it.

ModeratorJames,
The file you’ll need to overwrite can be found at /event-tickets-plus/src/views/wootickets/tickets.php.
You’ll need to save it with the following structure to avoid losing changes upon updating: /[your-theme]/tribe-events/tickets/wootickets/tickets.php.
Please let me know if this helps and have a great Halloween!

ParticipantHello, thank you I had been looking around for it and wasn’t sure where it was.
Could you advise how to change the colours of the ticket?

ModeratorHey James,
We are pretty limited on how much support we can provide in regards to customization requests (see What support is provided for license holders?), but go ahead and send over details on what you’re hoping to achieve and I’ll do my best to help out.
Take care 🙂

ParticipantHello,
I would just like pointing in the direction of where I can change the background colour of the ticket for example.
I can’t see anything obvious as to where I can change it.

ModeratorJames,
My apologies for misleading you here – the tickets.php file I mentioned above is actually the template for editing the front end ticket box displayed on events offering tickets, not the actual ticket template users receive in their emails.
I did some more testing and was unable to edit the styles for tickets, but I invite you to explore the code found on /event-tickets/src/views/tickets/email.php so you can add additional info to the emails.
I truly apologize I steered you in the wrong direction! I’ve gone ahead and logged a feature report aimed to empower users capabilities when it comes to editing ticket styles. It’s always beneficial to submit your request via our UserVoice Feature Ideas page too! Stay tuned to your WordPress admin dashboard and our Release Notes for more info.
Let me know if you have any additional questions or feedback and thanks again. Cheers!

ParticipantHello,
Thank you for the update. I’ve had someone with more coding knowledge than me take a look at it and he has managed to make the necessary changes I needed. However, we’re just not sure where this file needs to go in the child theme?
If you could advise where to put this, that would be great thank you.

ModeratorJames,
I’m not sure which file you’re referring to (tickets.php or email.php), but please review the Themer’s Guide.
If you are still having troubles, let me know which specific file you want to save as an overwrite and I’ll send over the correct file structure. Cheers!

KeymasterHey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
Thanks so much!
