ParticipantHi,
I have a home page with a main menu
Then I have a series of city pages, with full width sub menus.I have events in specific cities. I would like the sub menu for the city to appear on the event listing for events in those cities.
eg, Paris City Pages have the paris sub menu (bar, club, restaurant etc).. but when I go to an event in “Paris”, there is no submenu.
Is there any way to be able to choose a submenu based on an event category?
Thanks

ParticipantAs an example:
Ok, So I have an event using “the event Calendar” plugin on the page as follows:
http://www.gaytravel4u.com/event/crazyvores-follivores/2015-04-04/
The event has a category “Paris”
And I want to add the submenu as here:
http://www.gaytravel4u.com/paris/events/
Obviously, when I have an event in another city, I would like that city menu to appear.

KeymasterHi Keith,
Thanks for reaching out to us here on our support forums.
I’ve tried to build a custom solution for you here, but it will take too much time because it’s a rather complex thing.
I can point you in the right direction, I would like to know what is your current /tribe-events/single-event.php file contents so that I can see if there is anything to worry before giving you better instructions.
Please use a gist.github.com to provide the file contents, it will make it easier to read.

ParticipantI also found this plugin, which I think will do what I want, however, i have no idea what code I would need to add to the events page to enable a new custom menu location that would look like the one on the other pages (eg – Paris sub menu – http://www.gaytravel4u.com/paris/events/)

KeymasterHi Keith,
Take a look at this article: http://premium.wpmudev.org/blog/add-menus-to-wordpress/
This should help you place a new Menu Instance.
