Dawn
ParticipantHi there, i have the full version of Events Calendar. When creating a menu with custom links the mobile version of wptouch shows nothing but todays date. the menu and links work on desktop version and on actual desktop, just not on wptouch mobile version.
i have created a menu heading with a custom link to another page not Event Calendar and that works fine. can anyone help resolve this as its driving me mad.
thankyou Dawn-

MemberHi Dawn,
Thanks for contacting us!
If I visit the URL you provided I see a link to the main events view which is labelled “2016 Calendar” and it seems to work as expected.
It also seems to be present and works as expected (for me) when viewed on a handheld device – albeit I need to click on the menu icon to be able to see it, but this is true of the whole menu, not just that specific link.
Is there a specific device or browser I would have to test on to see the problem?

Participantthankyou for your interest. it is all custom links ONLY on mobile version on phone .
so all months listed on home page go straight to page from destop view of mobile, and desktops, but on mobile view it is linking to nothing. also the menu tab 2106 calendar which is also a custom link does the same.
It is ALL custom links to Event Calendar from mobile version wptouch.
the menu heading LEGO which is a test heading is a custom link to a page , not Events Calendar and that works fine
thankyou dawnJanuary 14, 2016 at 7:47 am #1056036Barry
MemberHi Dawn,
I’m having a hard time replicating what you’ve described – again, can you give me more detail about the device and browser you are using?
Is it an Android, an iPhone, something else? What about the browser – do you know which browser you are using? If it’s just the default and you are unsure which that’s fine, just let me know 🙂
Thanks!

ParticipantHow to check out the problem
1) vwdiary.com on desktop, homepage has 12 months on front page, they are links to associated months on events calendar using custom link—-each one opens perfectly
2) open vwdiary on any phone, scroll down homepage to bottom and ensure that it is set to mobile, scroll back up and again click on any month and it goes to a screen with 2 apparent links both dated todays date and leading nowhere .
3) scroll down phone homepage again and change to desktop, scroll back up and again click any month and it will work fine .the same happens with the menu settings
1) check menu settings on desktop…..all work fine
2) check menu links on phone in mobile setting…. the menu named Lego is a test setting, is is a custom link through a page, not events calendar, ….this works fine.
3) click 2016 calendar, again, the same two todays date headings (occasionally a random menu of gone by events!). that is a custom link from events calendar.
4) scroll down homepage on phone , set back to desktop and try the menu links again,….both work !!!

MemberHi Dawn,
Thanks for the extra info!
Unfortunately, though, I don’t have anything helpful to report. I don’t see the problem and so roped in some other team members who also attempted to replicate (and we did indeed test with real – as opposed to a simulated – iPhone) … again, we couldn’t see the problem.
Have you heard from other users that they are also experiencing this? I’m afraid on our end we either cannot see the issue or are misunderstanding your description.
