ParticipantGreetings –
I am in the process of converting a rather large but unmaintainable custom CMS to WordPress. There are several thousand users with tens of thousands of posts, comments, and events. For a variety of technical reasons that I won’t go into here as they would assuredly bore the reader, off-the-shelf importers (yours included) won’t work for this project.
My specific question regards the meta_key and meta_value fields in wp_postmeta. Could you please provide documentation on these meta_key values? What I most need to know is what fields are required, and what the constraints are for each field. I’m sure I could reverse-engineer it given time, but it would be a huge help and time-saver if you could share that info.
These are the fields that have so far appeared in my wp_postmeta table:
_EventOrigin
_EventShowMapLink
_EventShowMap
_EventStartDate
_EventEndDate
_EventDuration
_EventVenueID
_EventCurrencySymbol
_EventCurrencyPosition
_EventCost
_EventURL
_EventOrganizerID_VenueOrigin
_VenueVenue
_VenueAddress
_VenueCity
_VenueCountry
_VenueProvince
_VenueState
_VenueZip
_VenuePhone
_VenueURL
_VenueStateProvince
_VenueLat
_VenueLngIf there are others I should know of, could you please include them as well?
Thanks so much, and have a great holiday season!

MemberHello Thomas! Thanks for getting in touch and welcome to the forums–we’re stoked you’re using our plugin. 🙂
Great question and nice work! You definitely got a bulk of the fields. You can find the documentation for all the WordPress Post Meta output by the calendar in this article, which I think will help steer you in the right direction.
Let me know if that helps out–and happy holidays!
Cheers,
