ParticipantHI,
Using some of your other forum posts I’ve created a function to extend the RSS to show the start/end date and time, featured image, as well as some additional custom fields.
However I noticed in the RSS for a recurring event, only the first instance of the event contains the custom fields.
See screenshot http://screencast.com/t/ffOrf9IRf
When I check the database, this is also true, only the first event has the custom fields recorded against it.

When I looked through your functions manual and using them to tried to read the custom fields, the test to see if the event is recurring returns true, however the array on the subsequent events returns an empty array.
https://theeventscalendar.com/support/documentation/events-calendar-pro-template-tags/Is there something not right here? Seems it should be either storing the custom fields against each post instance of the recurring event, or the functions provide should test and pull the custom field values from the first instance of the event series.
The resultant RSS feed to see the results is below. Or a screenshot here http://screencast.com/t/YPrOZOPLtc

Cheers

MemberHi,
There is indeed a bug that impacts additional fields for recurring events.
We’re actually just putting the finishing touches on a fix that should roll out with our very next release (due imminently) so I’d definitely recommend waiting until that arrives – there’s a very good chance this will be resolved at that point.
Thanks for your support and patience while we work through this 🙂

MemberGreat to hear 🙂
I’ll go ahead and close this thread – but of course if anything else crops up please don’t hesitate to create new threads as needed, one of the team will be only too happy to help.
Also, if you have a moment to spare, we’d love to hear your thoughts on The Events Calendar over on our plugin review page – thanks again!
